Michael L. Tyndell
Michael Lynn Tyndell, 65 of Mineola, TX died on January 6, 2017 in the comfort of his own home, surrounded by the people who knew and loved him dearly. He was born on Saturday, December 15, 1951 in Clarksville TX to the late Carl and Myrtle Tyndell.
Mike was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Crisslyn Grace Thompson and brother, Bob Tyndell. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Denise Tyndell; his son, Tim Tyndell and wife Jessica of Mineola, TX; daughters, Tammatha Thompson and husband Josh of Mineola, TX and Samantha Young and husband Steven of Mineola, TX; three grandchildren, Jace Tyndell, Jorja Young and Drake Thompson; brothers, Joe Tyndell of Denison, TX; Mac Tyndell of Edgewood, TX; Harry Tyndell of Lake Fork, TX and Ron Tyndell of Van, TX and sister, Annette “Sister” Forsythe of Greenville, TX and by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Mike and Denise were married in 1970 in Mesquite, TX. Shortly after Mike joined the United States Airforce Red Horse 823rd Civil Engineering Squadron. They were station at Eglin Airforce Base in Florida. After getting out of the service they returned to Mesquite, TX and started a family. In 1976 Mike became one of the youngest persons to receive his Master Electrical license in the city of Dallas, TX. In 1988 he opened Tyndell Electric in Mineola, TX and after a long, successful career he semi-retired in 2010. Mike was a loving father to his 3 wonderful children and an amazing Papaw to his 4 beautiful grandchildren. He was very proud of his family. Mike enjoyed family trips to the beach, watching the kids play sports, fishing, street rods, car shows with friends, working on his ’35 Ford and trying his luck at the nearest casino. Mike was truly a jack of all trades. Though he had many hobbies and passions nothing compared to the love he had for his family. Mike was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend that will be greatly missed.
